To be part of the Sasquad hiking club, all you need to do is pledge to “leave no trace” when you are exploring and honor local legends, such as our mascot the legendary Sasquatch.

Agree to the “Leave No Trace” Pledge
- Plan ahead and prepare.
- Pack in what you need and pack out everything you bring in.
- Leave nature where you find it and as you find it.
- Minimize your impact, including staying on trails and minimizing campfire impacts.
- Follow all local laws and warnings, such as fire bands.
- Respect all wildlife.
- Be considerate of other hikers, visitors, and locals.
- Be like Sasquatch and “leave no trace.”
Agree to Honor Local Folklore
- Do not argue the beliefs of the locals.
- Do not presume that things unseen do not exist.
- Learn about the history of the locals, including indigenous communities, when visiting new spaces.
- Respect the power of a good mystery.
