This 9-mile, out-and-back, trail is easy to moderate and worth the distance! Hikers will walk through meadows and enter into a valley surrounded by mountains. The hike is near water most of the way and ends at a gorgeous lake. Thanks to the distance, there are few crowds on the trail. Read more.

Silver Falls State Park, Oregon

This hike is a loop through an impressive forest, which boasts beautiful pools of green and blue water, and at least 10 waterfalls. Many of the waterfalls are over 100 ft in height. Hikers can even pass behind some waterfalls, giving this hike an enchanted feeling. This is a very crowded trail on a typical day. Hikers who want to have a more serene experience should go in the early morning in the evening on a weekday. Read more.
